The business

Doorpac manufactures speciality doors and frames for the construction market, as well as managing its own distribution. They needed a single platform to replace a patchwork of custom order forms, spreadsheets and disconnected systems - one that could keep up with the growing business and production facility, while giving the office real-time visibility into jobs, delivery scheduling and stock levels.

The challenge

Speciality door manufacturing requires a host of detailed manufacturing processes - every job can contain a mix of doors, frames and accessories, each with their own configuration, pricing rules and production paths. On top of that, deliveries are managed internally, invoices arrive from dozens of suppliers, and the whole system has to stay in sync with Xero for accounting and Shopify for online orders.

The existing setup was fragile, data was duplicated across tools, and reporting meant re-entering the same information multiple times.
